The Rajasthan high court Jodhpur on Monday held as invalid the scaling system adopted by the RPSC Ajmer in preparing the RAS main exam 2012. The court also gives direction to RPSC to re-conduct the exam for 105 seats which are added to the originally 1106 seats after the main examination was over. Results 2014 prepares on basis of new exam pattern and scaling is not including in new pattern.
Justice G K Vyas on Monday challenging the RPSC decision to increase the number of posts after the main examination was over. Examination using the scaling method and non-discloser of the row marks, issued the direction. The court completed the arguments on 25th February and reserved the ordrer for Monday.
According to petitioner Bhanwar Lal Bishnoi RPSC had recruitment process for RAS 289 posts and 817 posts for allied services through notification on February 6, 2012. With condition that post of number increase or decrease before the main exam. But RPSC increase the number of posts 360 for RAS and 851 for allied RAS and that too after the main examination. Petitioner challenge in to High court.
The High court on February 14 had ordered an interim stay on recruitment process of RAs examination. The interview of process starts from 3rd March 2014. Court issued the notice to RPSC and asked why number of seats increase after the main exam. How the mark sheets were issued on the basis of scaling method without disclosing the raw marks. What formula is used in scaling method and why the scaling method adopted despite by the state government scrapping it?
